Prostaglandins are the hormone, which stimulates labour, therefore by stimulating one you generally will stimulate the other So acupressure can prepare the cervix for labour, thinning and effacing it. If the cervix is already thin then acupressure will stimulate labour.

This will only be performed once you are full term.
