Prenatal
yoga can ease the discomforts of pregnancy, such as moodiness, shortness
of breath, swollen ankles, nausea, indigestion and insomnia; and help you
prepare for the rigors and mysteries of labour.
Our aims of Pregnancy Yoga Sessions are listed below:
- Promote normal birth / active birth
- Promote optimal fetal positioning
- Reduce the need for induction of labour for postdates
- Reduce the need for unnecessary caesarean section
- Improve posture and core strength
- Teach ‘the power of the breath for labour’
- Teach coping mechanisms and good positions for labour
- Encourage bonding with your baby
- Meet other mums to be
We will provide exercise mats; you will need to wear appropriate exercise clothing as there are no changing facilities. We have weekly Pregnancy Yoga sessions at the centre, which will last for approxrimately one and a half hour including refreshments.
The initial exercise session can be attended on a one off payment, however once you know that you wish to continue, we will require a 5 week in advance payment. This is non-refundable , however if when you make the five week payment you know you cannot attend a forward session (within the planned next 5 sessions), for holiday, appointments etc, we will honour the payment and it will carry onto the next week with no loss to yourself.
