It
is well known that exercise is not only beneficial for the health and well
being of the body but also that of the mind. At the beginning of pregnancy many women wish to commence or continue with exercise. However many women feel unsure as to the safeness of exercise during their pregnancy. Generally advice is given that if you have been exercising prior to your pregnancy then it is fairly safe to continue. Please note high impact exercise is not recommended regardless of whether you are accustomed to it or not.
At The Midwifery Centre we offer the reassurance that all of our exercise sessions are led by qualified instructors and additionally that these instructors are also qualified midwives. They understand pregnancy and design their classes particularly for pregnant or postnatal women. Focusing on toning and stretching as well as those important pelvic floor muscles.
Each session will end with a lovely relaxation period.
The initial exercise session can be attended on a one off payment, however once you know that you wish to continue, we will require a 5 week in advance payment. This is non-refundable , however if when you make the five week payment you know you cannot attend a forward session (within the planned next 5 sessions), for holiday, appointments etc, we will honour the payment and it will carry onto the next week with no loss to yourself.
