I became a Midwife after I had twice experienced childbirth for myself!

Prior to midwifery I worked within the IT industry, primarily in a customer service & support role.

I have two lovely children, a boy and a girl, and the most wonderfully supportive husband without whom all of this would not have been possible from my point of view. I consider myself truly blessed.

One of my additional interests complimenting my Midwifery practice is Aquanatal and hollistic Massage. I hold a degree level qualification in Aquanatal instruction. During my own pregnancies I really enjoyed and benefited from these classes and was keen to enable other women to experience the joy that is Aquanatal. I hope that you will come and join us at a class and find out for yourself.

My vision of The Midwifery Centre is for both Mums-to-be and Midwives to enjoy and be enriched by the time that they spend together. As a Midwife I believe that you never stop learning and Mums are generally the ones that teach us best. I also believe that Midwives empower women and by doing so, enable them to achieve what they truly want from their experience. Birth does not always go to plan but by remaining in control, understanding what is happening and giving fully informed consent will assist in acceptance and moving forward enabling you to enjoy your newborn and the wonders that are parenthood.

In partnership with Gill, setting up The Midwifery Centre enables us to provide you with additional support and access to Midwives who have additional skills and training that is currently rarely available anywhere else. All of our colleagues are Midwives and the few that are not are specifically maternity trained and work under our guidance.

The Midwifery Centre will provide a very new and unique service to women and their families. Still continuing to utilise the NHS services available and enhancing that service by using the additional resources of The Midwifery Centre.
